LOCAL: KPAN recorded .42 inch of rain in downtown Hereford this morning. Just to the west of town, the Mesonet site recorded .85 of an inch from storms that were producing 5 inch per hour rainfall rates. Mesonet totals over 24-hours included 1.26 inches of rain at Muleshoe, .86 inch at Dimmitt, .68 of an inch in Friona, .59 inch at Umbarger and .3 of an inch at The Tree……The Deaf Smith County Hospital District Board of Directors will meet in a regular session at 5:30 this afternoon at Hereford Regional Medical Center’s Board Room. They’ll work through a 10-item agenda in the regular session. A review of medical staff bylaws, self-pay financial policy and updates from May and June’s medical staff meetings are among the items……Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Maddox, age 77, are Saturday at 3:00 at the First Methodist Church. Bob was a gifted mechanic and longtime truck driver. He enjoyed the outdoors: especially hunting, motorcycle riding and camping. He died March 10, 2026……Temps near the century mark should be expected through the weekend with shower and thunderstorm chances tonight and tomorrow night.
