The pair shot a two-day, 129, to best Jerry and Linda Stevens by one stroke. John Pitman Golf Club will be closed this weekend for the Tierra Blanca Classic……Coach Sunny Umsted has been recognized as one of the best assistant coaches in the state. Coach Umsted was named a Region 1 Texas High School Coaches Association Track Assistant Coach of the Year. Sunny was the only 4A boys coach recognized with the honor……Large hail and damaging winds will be the main severe storm threats today with a low-end tornado chance. Radar indicated rotation prompted a tornado warning on a t-storm located near Wildorado yesterday afternoon. The same storm would produce baseball-sized hail.
