LOCAL: The Class of 2026 walked the stage on Friday night at Whiteface Gym for their graduation ceremony. This year featured a new award for a graduating senior with perfect attendance; a 2026 Chevrolet Trax was given away by Steven’s Five Star. Kelton Whitson won the vehicle and he’ll pick the keys up today to his new ride. Izak Dominguez was named the Honor Student for the graduating class……Today is Election Day with several primary runoff races on ballots. Most notable is the U.S. Senate race for Texas between incumbent John Cornyn and challenger Ken Paxton. Voting locations are at the Deaf Smith County Courthouse and Hereford Civic Center and both locations are open until 7:00 this evening……Weekend rainfall missed downtown Hereford where just .04 of an inch of rain was recorded at KPAN. Shower and thunderstorm chances continue daily with today and Friday being most favorable for beneficial rainfall. Flash flooding is the main severe hazard today with some small hail possible……The West Plains Wolves remain in the hunt for a state championship in baseball after a series win over Mineral Wells.
