LOCAL: Deaf Smith County 4H named Johan Grotegut, Josef Grotegut and Valori Porter as recipients of this year’s Jim Marsh Memorial Scholarship. Johan Grotegut will receive $10,000, Josef will receive $7,500 and Valori will receive $1,200. The scholarship is funded by raffle ticket sales for a trailer each year at the Hereford Livestock Show……Our Blood Institute and Coffee Memorial Blood Center are offering an extra incentive for blood donations through the end of the month. Now through May 31, donors will receive two tickets to Frontier City, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor or Magic Springs Theme and Water Park. Donate seven days a week at CMBC, 7500 Wallace Blvd., in Amarillo……KPAN recorded .01 inch of precipitation in downtown Hereford this morning. Storms struggled to produce much measurable rainfall within 100 miles yesterday. Models are predicting better rainfall amounts in the area today. The main severe threat will favor the northwestern Panhandle however the KPAN listening area is included in the severe umbrella today with hail being the main hazard……Hereford High School’s graduation ceremony is set for 7:30 tomorrow evening at Whiteface Stadium.
