LOCAL: Deaf Smith County Industry Day – A Showcase of Agriculture, begins this morning at 10:00 at Advanta on Highway 60. Registration lasts for 30 minutes before the day begins with a tour of the seed production facilities. The afternoon will take place at Hereford Vet Supply with lunch and presentations like drone spraying, data center discussion, a session with Curtis and Curtis Seed and a tour of the Hereford Teaching Hospital. The event is open to the public and free……Deaf Smith County Hospital District Board of Directors meet in a regular session this afternoon at 5:30 for a 10-item agenda. They’ll hear a medical staff and physician recruitment update and an executive session is tabbed among the items. The meeting is open to the public at the HRMC Board Room……Kaylee Ritter, a Hereford High student, took the top spot at the Tumbleweed Classic Shoot in Clovis this weekend. Funeral services for Leslie James Redwine, age 67, are today at 2:00 at the First Baptist Church in Claude. He died on Monday in Claude……Funeral services for Teresa Rudd Quillin, age 74, are Monday at 11:00 at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel. Teresa was a former Hereford resident who taught in Dalhart for 43 years. She died last Thursday in Lubbock……Critical fire weather conditions exist area-wide today.
