Hereford held off the Eagles in a 7th inning rally to finish the district campaign with a 10-4 record. The loss for Canyon resulted in a split-district-title with West Plains. Hereford and Andrews are in playoff action Thursday……Funeral services for Monty Lee Brewer, age 87, are today at 2:00 at Avenue Baptist Church. Viewing is from 9:30-11:30 this morning at the church. Monty enjoyed fishing and the simple things in life. He’s remembered for his hard work and love for his family. He died Wednesday……Funeral services for Teresa Rudd Quillin, age 74, are today at 11:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel. Teresa was a former Hereford resident and longtime educator who died on Thursday, April 16, in Lubbock……Deaf Smith County Commissioners meet in a regular session tomorrow morning at 9:00 to work through an 8-item agenda.
