LOCAL: Gavin Hill tossed seven innings and added two doubles offensively as he aided his own effort for a win on the mound yesterday in Dumas. The Whitefaces held on for a, 7-6, win against the Demons. Hill had 5 K’s in the win, and in four plate appearances added three hits and an RBI. Ethan Subealdea, Brix Machen and Parker Schertz also had doubles in the win. Hereford is 9-4 in district play with the regular season finale on Friday at home against Canyon……Deaf Smith County Hospital District Board of Directors meet in a regular session tomorrow afternoon at 5:30 for a 10-item agend. They’ll work through formalities and begin the conversion process to become a Critical Access Hospital, a designation given to certain rural hospitals by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to improve access to care and reduce financial vulnerability. The meeting is open to the public at the HRMC Board Room……Early voting continues weekdays, today thru Tuesday of next week. Voting hours are 8:00-5:00 each day at the Deaf Smith County Courthouse……Funeral services for Leslie James Redwine, age 67, are tomorrow at 2:00 at the First Baptist Church in Claude. Leslie was a proud father and grandfather and is remembered as a caring son, dependable brother and a fun uncle.
