LOCAL: Lauren Beville has been named to the West Texas A&M University Hall of Champions as a member of the Class of 2026. Beville was a 2012 All American for the Lady Buffs and played in a school-record, 544 sets, during her 2009-2012 career. Lauren was a standout for the Lady Whitefaces and a member of the 2008 UIL State Championship Team. She was recently named the head coach of the volleyball program at Alvin High School for the upcoming school year. An induction ceremony will be held on October 23, during the Hall of Champions Reception……The U.S. Men’s National Team fell to Belgium yesterday, 1-4, in the Round of 16 at the World Cup. The U.S. has been eliminated from the tournament with the loss. Belgium faces Spain in the quarterfinals on Friday afternoon at 2:00……The Hereford Beautification Advisory Board meets in a regular session today at 12:00 at the Hereford Civic Center. They’ll work through a 10-item agenda that includes a façade improvement grant application from Litho-Graphics……The Hereford Food Pantry is open today and tomorrow for donation drop-offs.
