LOCAL: A 1955 Chevrolet Nomad took Best of Show at the 10th Annual DadFest Car Show over the weekend. The two-door wagon featured all the chrome and lines of the tri-five Chevy era, from 1955-1957. Roger Northcutt, of Pampa, is the owner of the winning vehicle and his 1955 was the first production year of the Nomad……HISD Board of Trustees meet in a regular session this evening at 6:00 at the HISD Administration Building. They’ll work through a lengthy agenda in the meeting open to the public. Among the items will be discussion on the staff compensation plan for the upcoming school year and a possible appointment to the Precinct V seat on the board……Deaf Smith County Commissioners meet for a lengthy agenda tomorrow morning at 9:00 at the courthouse. Several items will relate to tax abatements for data center projects in Deaf Smith County. The meeting is open to the public……Chances for rain will be favored to each afternoon and evening across the area this week. Severe storm chances will favor the northern and eastern portions of the Panhandle today.
