LOCAL: The Texas DPS has added a new Bell 407 helicopter to their fleet of 28 aircraft. The new single-engine chopper will be stationed in Austin and has a range of up to 340 nautical miles. The Aircraft Operations Division operates from 13 duty stations including locations in Amarillo and Lubbock……Amarillo native Wyatt Provence punched his ticket to a Korn Ferry Tour event with his 3rd straight win at the Amarillo City Championship. The Randall High School grad and current University of New Mexico golfer will compete at Tascosa Golf Club in the Occunet Classic next week in Amarillo……Funeral services for Avery Detten, age 20, are today at 10:00 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Amarillo. Avery was a lifelong Hereford resident and 2024 HHS graduate. She was a member of the 2025 Fighting Texas Aggie National Champion Wool Judging Team and earned All American honors. She cherished time with her family and was happiest at home in Hereford. She died Tuesday in Amarillo……The Hereford Food Pantry is open for their regular schedule today form 12:00-3:00 at 900 North Lee.
