LOCAL: Herd baseball is moving on after a series win over El Paso Riverside last week. The Whitefaces won the series in two games with scores of 4-3 and 3-1. Kalub Ramirez went the distance on the mound Friday and had 12 K’s in the win. He and Ethan Subealdea both pitched full games in the series. Kayden Alonzo had RBIs in both games for the Herd offensively. Hereford and Mineral Wells now face each other in the regional semifinals with Game 1 set for Thursday night at 7:00 in Clyde, TX……Hereford City Commissioners meet in a special session this evening at 6:30 to discuss a 16-item agenda. Newly elected commissioners will be sworn in and outgoing officials will be recognized. A report from the HEDC and discussion of an incentive contract with Parson’s Steakhouse are also among the items. The meeting is open to the public at City Hall……Funeral services for Joseph “Joe” Reinauer, Jr., age 84, are Thursday, May 28, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart at 11:30 in Pensacola, FL. Joe was a Hereford High School grad and Vietnam veteran. He owned the Deaf Smith County Abstract Company from 1980-1990, was a city commissioner and served on the Board of Directors of First National Bank. He would settle in Florida in the mid 80s. Joe died on May 1st……KPAN recorded .05 of an inch of rain in downtown this morning.
