LOCAL: Election Day is tomorrow and will feature polling locations at the Hereford Civic Center and the Deaf Smith County Courthouse from 7:00-7:00. City commission seats, HISD Trustee seats, an allocation of HEDC funds to city park and playground upgrades and the HISD Bond are on ballots for voters……The City of Hereford and Panhandle Regional Planning Commission have added an additional tire disposal day tomorrow, from 9:00-12:00, at the city dump. Deaf Smith County and Hereford residents can dispose of car and light truck tires, up to six semi-tires, and six irrigation tires……The HISD School Health Advisory Committee is holding their annual Community Fair tomorrow from 10:00-1:00 at Dameron Park. The first 300 participants will receive a free health screening. Vendor booths, a petting zoo and free hot dogs are part of the mid-day fair. The event is open to the public……A 100th Birthday Celebration will be held in honor of Bub Sparks on Sunday from 12:30-1:30 at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Friends of Mr. Sparks are invited to the come-and-go reception. Bub will officially hit the century mark on Monday. He’s been a lifelong resident of Hereford and served in the U.S. Navy in WWII……KPAN will have live coverage from Littlefield tomorrow afternoon for Game 2 of the bi-district series of playoff baseball. Hereford is in a must-win game against Andrews to force a third which would immediately follow.
