LOCAL: The Hereford Economic Development Corporation meets in a regular session this afternoon at 4:30 at the Hereford Civic Center. They’ll work through a 10-item agenda that includes a possible contract execution with Parson’s Steakhouse, several proposals from local businesses and discussion of a revolving loan fund. The meeting is open to the public……Funeral services for “OPA” Jim Friemel, age 66, are Friday at 11:00 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Umbarger. Jim was a lifelong Umbarger resident and owned and operated F-Troop Feeders with his wife Melanie. Viewing and Rosary is tomorrow from 5:00-7:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Mr. Friemel died on Sunday while checking his cattle……Funeral services for Ken Branum, age 79, will be at 10:30 on June 6th, at the First Presbyterian Church. Ken died on Sunday……KPAN recorded a trace of rainfall at 7:00 this morning from evening showers yesterday.
