LOCAL: Hereford City Commissioners will meet in a regular session at 6:30 this evening at City Hall. They’ll work through a lengthy, 10-item, agenda. Included among the items is the possible purchase of approximately 36 acres surrounding Walmart by the HEDC, extending city services to 3740 S Progressive, and a tabbed executive session for commissioners. The meeting is open to the public……The Whitefaces took a 2-2 score into the top of the 7th inning Friday afternoon before West Plains was able to score six on their way to an 8-2 win over the Herd. Hereford moves to 5-3 in district play and will be on the road to Pampa tomorrow afternoon……Funeral services for Mario “Payo” Baray, age 82, are tomorrow at 2:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Visitation is today from 2:00-8:00 at the funeral home. Mr. Baray was a longtime Hereford resident who died on Tuesday in Hereford……The Hereford Food Pantry is open for their regular schedule today from 12:00-3:00 at 900 North Lee……Several days of precipitation chances dot the next week’s outlook.
