First pitch in the softball matchup is set for 4:30 at Lady Whiteface Field……Funeral services for Victoria Luna, age 99, are this morning at 10:00 at San Jose Catholic Church. Mrs. Luna had a great sense of humor and never missed a chance to laugh. She died last Thursday in Hereford……Funeral services for Dean Turney, age 63, are Thursday morning at 10:00 at the First Baptist Church in Amarillo. Dean was a longtime Hereford resident and the Fire Marshall from 2000-2024. He held various roles with the Hereford Volunteer Fire Department for 43 years. Dean is remembered as a dedicated, loving and protective husband, father and grandfather. Visitation is Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. He died on Saturday in Amarillo…… City Hall will be closed Thursday morning to give employees a chance to honor Turney. Dean had also held the assistant City Manager role from 2022-2024 in Hereford.
