LOCAL: A Canyon teenager is behind bars after being suspected of planning an attack on the July 4th holiday in the Panhandle. Kevin Hunt, age 18, of Canyon, TX, was charged with possession of components of explosives on July 11th, after being arrested on July 2nd. Hunt was observed conducting site surveillance ahead of local celebrations and DPS would obtain a search warrant of his home where explosive device materials, multiple firearms and several hundred rounds of ammunition were recovered……A child safety seat class and check-up event is being held this afternoon at the Texas Department of State Health Services location in Hereford, at 600 N 25 Mile Avenue, from 5:30-7:00. Installation and proper use will be covered and qualifying participants can obtain a new car seat.
