LOCAL: The Deaf Smith County Hospital District Board meets in a regular session this afternoon at 5:30. They’ll work through a 12-item agenda that includes an update on a rural financial stability grant and an executive session where the annual CEO evaluation will take place. The meeting is open to the public at Hereford Regional Medical Center’s Board Room……Deaf Smith County Republican Candidates’ Forum is taking place this evening at the Hereford Civic Center. The event is from 6:00-8:00 and is open to the public……Deaf Smith County Grand Jurors met last Wednesday and indicted six persons to stand trial on felony charges. Charges included DWI – 3rd or more, felon in possession of a firearm and assault on a peace officer…… Graveside services for Ellen “Von” Gallagher, age 91, are Monday at 10:00 at west Park Cemetery. Ellen was a Hereford resident since the 1950s. She enjoyed crocheting and playing Yahtzee, but most of all spending time with her family. Visitation is Sunday from 3:00-5:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. She died on Tuesday in Hereford……Funeral services for David Casarez, age 67, are tomorrow at 2:00 at San Jose Catholic Church.
