LOCAL: For the first time in Coffee Memorial Blood Center’s history, a back-to-back emergency appeal has been issued for donations. Due to recent weather events more than 80 community blood drives have been cancelled resulting in an estimated loss of 1,600 donations. Donations can be made seven days a week at the Amarillo location of CMBC at 7500 Wallace Blvd……Deaf Smith County Republican Candidates’ Forum is taking place tomorrow evening at the Hereford Civic Center. Local and state candidates running for office in the primary election will be on hand to share their platforms and answer questions. The event is from 6:00-8:00 and is open to the public……Funeral services for Socorro Casas de Escobedo, age 90, are today at 2:00 at San Jose Catholic Church. Her family was her greatest joy in life. Socorro was a longtime Hereford resident who died on Friday in Hereford……Lady Whiteface Basketball swept the Lady Wolves of West Plains this season with another win over the Wolf Pack last night, 50-36.
