LOCAL: Forecast models are holding on to the potential of 8 inches of snow in the Hereford area through the weekend. The northeastern ¼ to 1/3 of the Panhandle has the potential to see 14 inches of snow, with a slight chance for the KPAN listening area to see more than 12 inches. Depending on snowpack, the area could see sub-freezing temperatures through the middle part of next week……USDA has announced $100 million in grant money available for new projects that combat the New World Screwworm parasitic fly. The money is available through the USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and proposals can support a variety of objectives regarding NWS. The girls take on the Lady Eagles in Canyon at 1:30 and the guys will follow……Funeral services for Monica “Cookie” Moll-Garcia, age 48, are today at 10:00 at the Nazarene Family Church. Monica was a former lifelong Hereford resident who died on Monday in Hart……Funeral services for Gail Marie Pankey Davis, age 77, are Monday at 2:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Visitation is Sunday from 3:00-5:00 at the funeral home. Gail worked at HPD as the records clerk for 25 years. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She died on Tuesday in Hereford……#12 Texas Tech and #6 Houston hit the hardwood at 1:00 tomorrow afternoon in Lubbock.
