LOCAL: The Lady Whitefaces were led by another 20+ point performance from Mia Gomez on Friday night for the second time in as many games when she dropped 22 against the Lady Raiders. Hereford beat Randall, 45-40, at Whiteface Gym, and improved to 6-1 in district play with the win……The Herd fell to Randall on Friday and dropped to 1-4 in district play. Jayden Sosa led the Whitefaces with 13 points……The HISD Board of Trustees meet in a regular session tonight at 6:00 to work through a 13-item agenda. They’ll discuss the superintendent’s performance and contract in a yearly evaluation and look at expanding the HJH training facility among the items. The meeting is at the Administration Building……Graveside services for Raymond “Butch” Williams, age 84, are tomorrow at 2:00 at West Park Cemetery. Butch was a longtime Hereford resident and spent more than 40 years working at numerous racetracks throughout the region shoeing horses as a farrier. Butch is remembered as a God-fearing man and a great father. Mr. Williams died on Thursday in Amarillo……Texas Tech beat #11 Brigham Young University in Big XII basketball on Saturday night in Lubbock, 84-71.
