LOCAL: The 2026 Hereford Livestock Show begins today at the Deaf Smith County Bull Barn. The Rabbit Show is set for 6:00 this evening with sheep, goats, pigs and cattle hitting the ring at 9:00 tomorrow morning. The stock show is open to the public. KPAN will have live coverage from the Bull Barn tomorrow morning…… The Lady Whitefaces and Lady Raiders of Randall will hit the hardwood tonight at 6:00 at Whiteface Gym. Hereford and Randall are both 5-1 in district play and tied for 2nd place heading into the last game of the first half of district play. The Herd and the Raiders will follow. KPAN AM-FM will have live coverage of both home games tonight……HISD Board of Trustees will meet on Monday evening at 6:00 in a regular meeting. They’ll work through a 13-item agenda that includes discussing new seating at district athletic sites, look at expanding the Hereford Junior High’s training room and hold a public hearing on the 2024/25 Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas Report. The meeting is at the Administration Building……Several city commission seats are up for election on May 2nd. Candidate packets can be obtained and returned to City Hall at 224 N. Lee. The filing deadline is February 13th.
