LOCAL: Texas A&M AgriLife, Kansas State University and Oklahoma State University will host a three-day conference in early February focusing on cotton. The Southwest Cotton Physiology Conference features three days of sessions ranging from pest updates, irrigation technologies, cotton profitability and organic and novel uses of cotton. It’s a $20 registration at tpma.eventsmart.com and will be held at the Lubbock County Extension Center. Texas Department of Agriculture CEU and CCA credits will be offered during the event……The Christmas Stocking Fund has assisted 344 families and households so far in assistance for the 2025 campaign. Among expenditures, the CSF has spent nearly $8,200 on clothing, $7,500 on 100 food and hygiene boxes, $5,880 for Xcel Energy bills and $2,185 in city water bills……The #15 Red Raiders rolled past Utah last night, 88-74. They’re at home again this Saturday when they take on #11 BYU at 7:00……Area residents will be on a roller coaster of afternoon temps for the next several days.
