LOCAL: Jamie Haynes has officially launched her campaign for the 86th State House district in Texas. Haynes ran in the last cycle against incumbent John Smithee, who’s held the seat since 1985. The district represents Armstrong, Dallam, Deaf Smith, Hartley, Oldham, Parmer and Randall counties. The seat is up for election next year……Funeral services for RosaLinda “Rose” Ellis, age 66, will be Friday at 2:00 at Good News Church. A viewing and visitation is tomorrow evening from 6:00-8:00 at the church. Rose is remembered as a loving wife, mother and great cook. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an adored grandmother. Rose was a longtime Hereford resident who died yesterday in Hereford……Funeral services for David Fitzgerald, age 67, are today at 10:30 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home……Deaf Smith County Hospital District Board of Directors meet tomorrow afternoon at 5:30 in a regular session. The board will work through an 11-item agenda that includes a discussion on a docuseries filming, medical staff update and a tabbed executive session.
