LOCAL: The Hereford Beautification Advisory Board meets in a regular session today at 12:00 to discuss a 10-item agenda. They’ll hear a façade improvement grant from Crystal’s Palace of Hair Design for a new sign. They’ll also discuss the Fall Fiesta Down Main that’s set for October 25th. The meeting is at the Hereford Civic Center……The Hereford Economic Development Corporation meets for a double-header this afternoon at 4:30 and 5:00. The first meeting will focus on fiscal year issues like officer elections and budget approvals. The subsequent will feature discussion on playground equipment at the John Bunch Complex and an agreement with the City of Hereford for website services. The meetings are at the civic center……National Night Out is tonight at Dameron Park from 6:00-8:00. The evening is a nationwide effort to build community relationships with first responders. All local law enforcement and first responder agencies will be on-hand this evening. The evening features free food, games and prizes……KPAN recorded .11 inch of rain at the downtown studios this morning. The Bootleg site near the state line measured .47 inch of rain, .41 fell at Vega, .24 inch in Umbarger and .11 in Friona.
