LOCAL: The Herd and the Seminole Indians are under the Friday Night Lights at Whiteface Stadium tonight. Hereford is 1-3 and coming off a bye week while the Indians are 3-2 and coming off a big, 75-0, win over Denver City. Kickoff is set for 7:00 and KPAN AM-FM will have live coverage with pre-game programs beginning at 5:45……The Class of 2027 will hold their supper tonight featuring a serving of brisket, baked potato, sopapilla cheesecake and a drink for $10. Serving is 5:00-7:00 at the Hereford Junior High cafeteria and tickets are available at the door……Funeral services for Oscar Rodriguez, age 91, are tomorrow morning at 10:00 at Avenue Baptist Church. Oscar worked in agriculture and enjoyed taking his kids and grandkids to the farm to teach them to drive. A visitation is this evening from 6:00-8:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Mr. Rodriguez died on Monday……The 3-4 Lady Herd will face a 4-3 Dumas Demonette squad in 4-4A volleyball tomorrow in Dumas. Hereford beat Dumas in the first match but Dumas found wins over Canyon and Pampa to take sole possession of 4th place in the district. Match time is scheduled for 12:00 and KPAN AM-FM will have live coverage……The Whiteface Rodeo Team is hosting a weekend event at the Spicer Gripp Arena. Junior high and high schoolers will be in events throughout Saturday and Sunday with events beginning at 9:00 each day.
