WEATHER: (September 30, 2025) TUESDAY – High yesterday was 74° at 5:00; this morning’s low was 55° at 6:00. KPANcast: Mostly sunny and a high near 83°.    

LOCAL: A few rounds of sprinkles produced just a trace of rainfall in Hereford yesterday. Cloud cover kept temps cooler than expected as well but will begin a warming trend today. Afternoon highs will be 10-15 degrees above normal through the weekend in the Hereford area as an upper level ridge grips the area……Herd Tennis is in the final match of the district season this afternoon against Borger. The Bulldogs come to Hereford for a 4:00 start time at the Hereford High School Tennis Complex……Lady Herd XC finished in 11th place out of 20 teams in the small school division at the Oklahoma State University Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, OK, on Friday. Gabriela Gonzalez was the top finisher in 33rd place with a 23:23:9. There were 166 runners that finished the course. Herd XC came in 16th out of 26 teams. Top finisher for the Whitefaces was Manuel Carrizales. He ran an 18:03:6 for 16th place out of 240 runners. The teams will compete in Lubbock this weekend……The Lady Herd and Lady Raiders of Randall are in action at RHS tonight in district volleyball.
