LOCAL: The HISD Board of Trustees meet in a regular session tonight at 6:00 at the Administration Building. They’ll work through a lengthy, 13-item, agenda. The meeting is open to the public……The Herd fell to the Rangers of Perryton on Friday night in pre-district football, 28-38. Kobe Goodloe carried the ball 27 times for 133 yards and two touchdowns. Kalub Ramirez added 2 TDs on the ground and rushed for 53 yards. The Herd is 1-3 on the season with a bye-week……Pampa beat Hereford in district volleyball Saturday, 3-2. The Lady Whitefaces fall to 1-3 in district with two home games this Tuesday and Saturday……Funeral services for Erlinda Soto, age 76, are this morning at 11:00 at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel. Erlinda was a homemaker and also worked at the Hereford High School Cafeteria until her retirement in 2012. She died on Friday in McLean……Funeral services for Weldon Stephan, age 96, are Wednesday at 2:00 at Mendez and Mullins Chapel. Weldon was a lifelong Hereford resident and accomplished musician, playing the guitar and mandolin. Later in life he would further his mandolin playing by studying Music Theory at South Plains College. Visitation is 1:00-2:00 on Wednesday at the funeral home. He died on Thursday in Amarillo……Funeral services for Laura Jo Simnacher, age 51, are Thursday at 10:30 at the First Baptist Church.
