LOCAL: Several Lady Whiteface softball players received post-season accolades in All-District awards. Bella Gaytan and Faith Flores were named to the 1st Team All-District for 4-4A play. Lexi Vallejo was named to the 2nd Team All-District and Karizma Treviño was named honorable mention……The HISD Board of Trustees meet for a special session at 1:00 today at the Administration Building. They’ll discuss a 6-item agenda and an executive session is tabbed among the items……The Deaf Smith County Hospital District Board of Directors meet for a regular session at 5:15 this afternoon at the HRMC Board Room. They’ll look to take action on an AI program that assists with the provider-patient interaction and streamlines documentation among the 12-items to be discussed. The meeting is open to the public……Deaf Smith County remains drought-free according to the latest map issues by the U.S. Drought Monitor. Severe drought conditions, or D2, exist in the far northeastern Panhandle. Approximately 15% of the state is in the worst category, or D4, with the majority of West Texas and much of the south-central part of the state labeled as such……KPAN salutes Johnny Zambrano as the Good Neighbor of the Day……We have roots where others have branches – First National Bank.
