LOCAL: Hereford City Commissioners will meet in a regular session tonight at 6:30 in their first meeting of 2026. Commissioners are set to work through an 8-item agenda including the possible approval of new water and sewer rates. The meeting is at City Hall and is open to the public……The Dallas Cowboys finished the season on the losing end of a 34-17 score line against the New York Giants. Dallas will miss the playoffs for the second year in a row and finish the season with a dismal 7-9-1 record……The #15 Texas Tech Basketball Team opened conference play with a 102-80, win over Oklahoma State University on Saturday. The Red Raiders continue Big XII play tomorrow night against Houston……A Red Flag Warning has been issued for much of the area today with several factors contributing to the critical fire weather conditions. Strong winds, warm temps, dry vegetation and relative humidity values near the single digits have prompted the warning. It’s in effect from 11:00 this morning until 6:00 tonight when conditions are expected to be the worst.
