Tipoff is set for 6:00 and KPAN AM-FM will have live coverage from Dumas this evening……No services are scheduled at this time for William “Bill” Miller, age 75. Bill was a Hereford resident since 1994 and was a truck driver and worked for Caviness Meat Packers for many years until his retirement. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great nieces. Mr. Miller died yesterday in Hereford……First National Bank will offer light refreshments at their holiday open house this afternoon at both Hereford locations. Cookies and cider are available from 1:00-4:00 at the main location downtown at 301 W 3rd, and their branch at Hwy 385 and Moreman……Legendary singer-songwriter, and influential Texan, Joe Ely, died yesterday at 78. Joe was born in Amarillo before spending his formative years in Lubbock and eventually moving to Austin. He had Lew Body Dementia, Parkinson’s and had been battling pneumonia.
