LOCAL: Deaf Smith County Commissioners meet in a regular session at 9:00 this morning to work through a 7-item agenda. They’ll hear a report on a new exhibit at the Deaf Smith County Museum and look to purchase a new shredder……Kalub Ramirez, Alijah Cisneros and Brix Machen were all named to the All-District 1st Team in post-season football awards. Kayden Alonzo, Kobe Goodloe and Luke Harmon were named to the 2nd Team and Bennett Bell, Eli Arredondo, Manual Rojas and RJ Estrada also received honors…Manual Rojas was named to the Academic All-State 1stTeam. Daksh Patel, Ethan Subealdea and Izak Dominguez were named to the 2nd team and Kalub Ramirez was named honorable mention……Herd Wrestling had two podium finishers at the Randall Ruckus this weekend. Layla Ortiz placed 2nd and Qalatre Garcia came in 3rd……Funeral services for Juan Marquez, age 76, are today at 2:00 at San Jose Catholic Church. Mr. Marquez was a longtime Hereford resident who worked in ag and construction. He died on November 28th, in Amarillo……Texas Tech senior, Jacob Rodriguez, was named the best linebacker in college football with the Butkus Award. Rodriguez also won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy yesterday.
