LOCAL: The Parade of Lights will take place this evening around Dameron Park in downtown Hereford at 6:00. The Deaf Smith County Chamber of Commerce will take parade entries through noon today and entries are free. The evening will feature activities in the park following the parade and a firework show……Deaf Smith County Commissioners will meet in a regular session tomorrow morning at 9:00 at the courthouse. Commissioners will work through a 7-item agenda that includes a new shredder purchase and a tabbed executive session for economic growth discussion. The meeting is open the public……Funeral services for Juan Marquez, age 76, are tomorrow at 2:00 at San Jose Catholic Church. Mr. Marquez was a longtime Hereford resident who worked in ag and construction. Mr. Marquez is remembered as a jokester and loving family man who enjoyed time spent with family. Viewing and visitation is today from 1:00-8:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. He died on November 28th, in Amarillo……Texas Tech dominated Brigham Young University, 34-7, in the BigXII Championship on Saturday.
