LOCAL: The U.S. Supreme Court voted yesterday to allow the State of Texas to use a new congressional map created in a recent special session for the 2026 elections. The emergency order does not represent a final decision on the merits of the case, and the Court cited a need to avoid “causing much confusion and upsetting the delicate federal-state balance in elections.”……First Methodist Church will hold their 28th Annual Community Breakfast, aka Hunters Breakfast, tomorrow morning beginning at 6:00. The breakfast is an all-american spread and is open to the community……Ring-necked pheasant season opens at sunrise tomorrow across the Panhandle. The season will run through January 4th. Daily limits of three roosters and a possession limit of nine birds are in place…… Calf fries, chicken strips, French fries, hushpuppies and a dessert is the spread for a fundraiser benefitting Delilah Schoenenberger Saturday night at the Elks Lodge. Delilah is a young Hereford girl who underwent brain surgery earlier this year and the dinner will help offset continued medical expenses. A minimum $10 donation is requested and it’s open to the public beginning at 5:30 on December 6th, at 325 E. Austin Road……Texas Tech and BYU hit the gridiron in Arlington tomorrow morning in the BigXII Championship.
