LOCAL: The Hereford VFW Post 4818 will hold a Halloween Party fundraising event tomorrow night from 8:00-1:00. The 21+ event features a costume contest with prizes awarded for 1st and 2nd place. It’s a $5 cover charge and all proceeds will go towards renovations at the “V,” at 130 Veterans Park Road……Hereford Regional Medical Center has welcomed a new family medicine practioner in Dr. Phillip Jansen. Dr. Jansen has more than 25 years of experience in family medicine and earned his Doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri……Herd footballers will be on hand for the Herd-oween trunk-or-treat this evening at 6:00 at Whiteface Stadium. Face painting is available for $5 and a photo booth will also be there for free pictures. The event is free for community children……Early voting continues at the Deaf Smith County Courthouse through tomorrow. Voting hours are 8:00-5:00 today and will be extended to 7:00-7:00 on Friday……Temps in the 60s will be on-tap through the first half of the weekend before above average afternoon highs will peak near the 80° mark by Tuesday of next week……KPAN salutes Anthony Rodriguez as the Good Neighbor of the Day……We have roots where others have branches – First National Bank.
