LOCAL: Steve Purcella was inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame, in Colorado Springs, CO, over the weekend. Steve appeared in the national finals 14 times and won the PRCA Team Roping Heeler World Championship in 1996 and the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo in 1998……Herd Soccer Camp begins tomorrow morning at Whiteface Stadium for incoming 1st-9th graders. The camp fee is $20 and 1st-6th meet from 8:00-10:00, and 7th-9th graders will meet from 10:00-12:00……Funeral services for Linda Minchew, age 83, are Wednesday at 2:00 at the Central Church of Christ. Linda was a longtime Hereford resident and a founding member of the Hereford Pilot Club, where she held every position as an officer. She’s remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Minchew died on Thursday in Hereford……Graveside services for Gary Lemons, age 72, are Saturday at 11:00 at Restlawn Cemetery. The family will receive guests at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall following the graveside.
