LOCAL: The Hereford Economic Development Corporation meets in a regular session this afternoon at 4:30 at the Hereford Civic Center. The HEDC Board will discuss a 7-item agenda including discussion on the Gaston Building in downtown and formalities……The Deaf Smith County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a meet-and-greet at 5:30 today at the Hereford Bar and Grill for new city manager Ryan Polster. Polster has officially been on the job since June 1st but has been with the City of Hereford since mid-April. Light refreshments will be served……Funeral services are pending for Dannie Franklin Harmon, age 77. Dan was a longtime crop duster and flew all over Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, but most of his time was spent flying in the Texas Panhandle. Dan died on June 20th, in Hereford……The Hereford ISD Board of Trustees approved a 3% increase in Dr. Ralph Carter’s salary in Monday’s special meeting. The Board also approved parking lot striping at all campuses and the Administration Building.
