LOCAL: KPAN recorded .42 of an inch of rain this morning at 7:00 in downtown Hereford. Area totals to note include .85 inch of rain at Endee, .52 at Bootleg, .18 of an inch at Dimmitt, .14 of an inch at the Hereford Municipal Airport, .12 in Friona and .08 at Vega. A cold front moves through the area with cooler air in its’ wake today. Daily shower and thunderstorm chances will also exist for much of the next 10 days……The Hereford Independent School District Board of Trustees will meet in a special session at 12:00, today, at the Hereford ISD Administration Building. The Board will work through a 5-item agenda including a possible approval of parking lot striping across the district and a tabbed executive session. The meeting is open to the public……Graveside services for Gary Wayne Lemons, age 72, will be at 11:00 on July 19th, at Restlawn Cemetery. Gary was a former longtime Hereford resident who died on June 13th, in Albuquerque, NM.
