LOCAL: Torrential rainfall has continued across the region with flash flooding occurring in several central-Panhandle towns yesterday. The West Texas Mesonet recorded a 24-hour-total of 3.22 inches of rain total at Lelia Lake, 1.64 inches at Adrian and .48 of an inch at Friona as of 7:00 this morning. Warmer temps and slightly lesser chances for rain exist through the weekend before better chances return Sunday night through the middle part of next week……Fermi America and the Texas Tech University System announced plans for the world’s largest advanced energy and AI campus will be built near Amarillo. The power plant will deliver 11 gigawatts of power from the first-of-its-kind behind-the-meter HyperGrid. The campus will also feature 18 million square feet of artificial intelligence capacity. Geotechnical work has begun and the first gigawatt of power is expected to be online by the end of 2026……The John Pitman Golf Club is closed today-Monday.
