LOCAL: Taytum Stow was named the Collegiate Volleyball Player of the Year at the 18th Annual Dick Bynum Awards ceremony yesterday. The Amarillo Downtown Lions Club recognized the top female collegiate athletes in the Amarillo area at the annual awards ceremony. Overall winner went to WTAMU Track and Field star Kailee Benton……HISD’s Summer Meal Program continues weekdays through June 30th. The program provides free meals to students under the age of 18, and under 21 with disabilities. Meals are served Monday-Friday at HHS, and Monday-Thursday at the junior high and Tierra Blanca. Breakfast is from 7:30-8:15 and lunch is served from 11:30-1:30……The Hereford Economic Development Corporation is holding a Town Hall meeting on Monday, June 16th, at 6:30. The meeting will be held in conjunction with the regular city commission meeting at City Hall and will focus on their Future Water Use Plan and current recruitment efforts for renewable energy and technology. Public involvement at the meeting is encouraged……Preliminary damage surveys reveal a   2.2-mile-wide wedge tornado tracked near Morton, TX, last week. Once confirmed it would become the largest tornado in state history……Genesis Church is holding Vacation Bible School tonight-Friday, from 6:00-8:30, each day.
