LOCAL: Deaf Smith County Commissioners meet this morning at 9:00 for an 11-item agenda. They’ll look to add new county roads in Pct. 1, approve road repairs in Pct. 4, and a budget amendment is tabbed among the items today……Johan Grotegut was elected to the Texas 4-H Council as an at-large delegate at last week’s state roundup. Johan was chosen from 12 candidates and will serve a full year term which includes planning statewide events and representing the organization in various capacities……Funeral services for Manuela Peña, age 96, are today at 2:00 at the San Jose Catholic Church. Manuela was a longtime Hereford resident who died last Thursday in Hereford……KPAN recorded .12 inch of rain at the downtown studios this morning. A line of thunderstorms formed in eastern New Mexico and took a southeasterly track through the area. Heavier rain fell near the state line and on the South Plains where Bootleg measured .63 of an inch, .41 inch of rain at Muleshoe, .37 at Earth and .25 in Dimmitt.
