LOCAL: KPAN recorded 1.15 inches of rain at the downtown studios at 7:00 this morning. Other area totals of note include 2.04 inches at Canyon, 1.99 inches in Umbarger, 1.64 inches of rain in Adrian, 1.02 at Vega, .74 inch of rain at Dimmitt, .71 at Bootleg and .64 of an inch at Friona. Another active weather day is setting up across the region with all severe hazards including a slightly increased risked for tornados to occur. Public broadcast channels will have automated alerts and live interjections, and radar and related weather information is available online at weather.gov/ama/……Graveside services for Florinda Garcia, age 79, are today at 2:00 at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Florinda was a longtime Hereford resident and proud homemaker. She’s remembered as a loving family woman. She died on Sunday in Lubbock……Texas beat Texas Tech in Game 1 of the WCWS Softball Finals, 2-1. Game 2 is tonight at 7:00 on ESPN……The Hereford Lions Club Carnival is at the Deaf Smith County Bull Barn through Sunday.
