LOCAL: Governor Greg Abbott has yet to sign or veto SB 3, a total THC ban in the state, that was sent to his desk on Tuesday. An $8 billion industry has exploded in recent years in the state and if signed into law would cease to exist later this year. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick has called it “the most important bill this session.”……A major spring-cleaning is set for West Park Cemetery next week and the grounds crew is requesting all personal items be removed from gravesites by tomorrow, Friday, May 30th. Any items left will be disposed of this weekend. They ask for the publics cooperation through the summer as well so continued maintenance can occur uninterrupted……Selected jurors for a trial scheduled for next Monday, June 2nd, do not need to report. The trial in 222nd District Court has been cancelled……A cold front has pushed through the Panhandle and ushered in cooler temps across the area today. Northern Panhandle residents will see afternoon highs in the 60s today while 70s will be present across the south.
