LOCAL: A Flood Watch is again in effect today across the Panhandle through the evening hours. KPAN recorded 2.32 inches of rain at 7:00 this morning which brings the storm total to 2.54 inches and the May total to 2.65 inches of rain. Notable storm totals in the area include 3.19 inches at Dimmitt, 2.96 at Friona 2.5 inches at Sims and 2.44 inches of rain at Dawn. Slight rain chances will exist tomorrow and Thursday before warmer temps and clear skies are expected this weekend.
The Hereford Beautification Advisory Board meets in a regular session at 12:00 today at the Hereford Civic Center. They’ll work through formalities and discuss the Fall Fiesta Down Main and hear a financial report among the 10-items on the agenda.
The Baseball/Softball Complex Advisory Board meets in a special session this evening at 6:00 at the Hereford Civic Center for a 5-item agenda. They’ll discuss and consider feedback for the operation of the complex and leagues played there among the items.
Parents of incoming 7th-12th grade athletes that are playing football next year will meet at 6:00 today at the Hereford High School Auditorium. The meeting will focus on program expectations and the summer/fall schedule.
