LOCAL: A Flood Watch remains in place across the KPAN listening area through tomorrow evening. Model runs are pointing to more than 3 inches of rain locally by early Wednesday morning. The first round of heavy rainfall moved through this morning with multiple rounds expected from the low pressure system traversing the desert southwest over the coming days. KPAN recorded .22 of an inch of rain at 7:00 this morning with an additional .41 of an inch falling by 9:00 for a .63 inch of rain total.
Hereford City Commissioners will meet in a regular session at 6:30 this evening, at City Hall, for a 7-item agenda. They’ll look to review bids submitted on a city property at 331 Main St., and look to set a hearing date on the sale of several acres of land southeast of town. The meeting is open to the public.
In unofficial results from Saturday’s election, Sara Brummett was named the winner for the HISD Board of Trustees Single Member District 1 seat. Sara received 62% of the votes to defeat incumbent Mike Bryant and challenger Emilio Niño.
The HISD Board of Trustees were set to meet in a special session tomorrow but that meeting has been cancelled.
