LOCAL: L’Allegra Study Club is taking pre-orders for their annual plant sale until Tuesday, April 22nd. The plant sale will only feature pre-orders this year as Lonestar Home and Garden has closed their retail side of the business. Plant pick up day is May 8th and will feature a cheeseburger lunch at Lonestar from 11:00-1:00. Proceeds from this year’s plant sale benefit the Khuri Foundation at HRMC and the John Bunch Complex. Hereford is 3-9 on the district campaign with two games remaining…The Herd went extra innings and an extra day to get the win over Borger, 22-11. The game was called at dark Friday night in the top of the 9th and would continue Saturday at noon. Tell Bryant had two bombs in the win and one of those was a grand slam. The Herd are 5-5 in district play with four games remaining… Funeral services for Ramiro “Medo” Luz Garcia, age 56, are this morning at 10:00 at Genesis Church. Ramiro was a longtime Hereford resident and had owned and operated his own trucking company, G&M Trucking. He’s remembered as a loving family man. He died on Thursday in Hereford…Funeral services for Nancy Josserand, age 90, are Saturday at 11:00 at the First Methodist Church. Nancy was a longtime Hereford resident and very active in the local and regional communities. Visitation is Friday from 5:00-7:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home.
