WEATHER: (April 7, 2025) MONDAY – High yesterday was 52° at 3:00; this morning’s low was 32° at 7:00. KPANcast: Mostly sunny with a high near 65°. 

LOCAL: KPAN recorded an additional .6 of an inch of rain on Saturday morning and .18 of precipitation Sunday morning. The storm total from Wednesday-Sunday in downtown Hereford totaled 1.81 inches of moisture. Strong winds likely impacted the precipitation from snowfall measured Sunday morning……Izak Dominguez is the District Champion in the 110m Hurdles. Izak ran a 14.35 to take the top-spot and advance to the area meet in Andrews this week. Other qualifiers included Brix Machen in High Jump, Bryan Liscano in the 100m Dash and the 1600m Relay. Azlyn Zallar placed 2nd in Shot Put, Taylor Hill was 4th in Pole Vault and the 1600m Relay also qualified for area for the Lady Herd……Funeral services for Nancy “Memom” Ruckman, age 76, are today at 2:00 at the Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home Chapel. Nancy was a longtime Hereford resident and worked at Keeling Cattle Feeders for many years. She was a sports fanatic and especially enjoyed cheering on her grandchildren. Viewing is this morning from 10:00-12:00 at the funeral home. She died on Thursday in Friona……Funeral services for Luanne “Oma” Knoth, age 67, are tomorrow at 2:00 at the First Methodist Church. Luanne was a lifelong Hereford resident and 1976 HHS graduate. She worked at Plains New Holland for the last forty years.
