Izak placed 1st in the 110 Hurdles running a 14:55. The Hereford Invitational is this Friday at Whiteface Stadium…… ……The Lady Herd and Herd are both coming off wins over Perryton heading into today’s matchups against Randall. Softball action begins at 4:30 and baseball at 5:00 at Randall High School. KPAN AM-FM will have live coverage of the Lady Whitefaces at 4:30…….Funeral services for Candelaria “Candy” Vargas, age 82, are Wednesday at 10:30 at San Jose Catholic Church. Viewing and visitation is today from 2:00-8:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Candy was a longtime Hereford resident and was a proud homemaker. She died on Saturday in Amarillo……West Texas A&M University announced yesterday that the university was closing the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum until further notice. The closure comes as WTAMU looks to address needed upgrades and repairs for visitor and artifact safety.
