LOCAL: The City of Hereford entered into an employment agreement with Ryan Polster, of Hamilton, TX, for the city manager position on Monday. Polster is currently the city administrator for the Central Texas town and will join the staff in Hereford on April 15th. Steve Bartels is retiring at the end of May from the city manager position…… Funeral services for Irma Baca, age 45, are today at 2:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. A family and friend visitation will be held from 10:00-2:00 today at the funeral home. Irma was a lifelong Hereford resident and a 1996 HHS graduate. She died on Tuesday in Hereford……Funeral services for Richard Bice, age 57, are Saturday at 10:00 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Richard was a longtime Hereford resident and worked as a lineman for Deaf Smith Electric for many years. He died on Sunday in Hereford……Funeral services for Maria Cano, age 94, are Friday at 10:00 at San Jose Catholic Church. A visitation is today from 5:00-8:00 at Mendez and Mullins. She died on Tuesday in Canyon……Lady Whiteface Softball fell to Dumas in the district-opener yesterday afternoon, 18-1. Bella Gaytan scored the lone run for Hereford on a homer in the 1st inning.
