The outages are already planned for parts of Parmer County and eastern New Mexico today, and much of the South Plains tomorrow. They’ll work through several formalities and look to approve an employment agreement for the possible future City Manager, Ryan Polster. The meeting is at City Hall and begins at 6:30……Funeral services for Marion Frank Carter, age 84, are this morning at 10:30 at Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Marion was a longtime Hereford resident and worked as a lineman for Deaf Smith Electric Coop for 28 years before retiring. Mr. Carter enjoyed farming and playing bass, especially with his son James Alan. He died last Wednesday……Winds will likely exceed the 50 mph out of the southwest today and the 50 mph mark out of the northwest tomorrow. Extreme wildfire conditions will exist across the southwestern Panhandle both days.
