LOCAL: Hereford fell in both games to Randall in varsity basketball on Saturday. The girls were up first and lost to the Raiders, 46-63. Hereford moves to 4-3 in district play and is currently in 4th place in district action. Mia Gomez and Samantha Grajeda both had 9 points for the Lady Whitefaces…The guys would then follow in a high-scoring affair which saw 216 points put up between the two buckets, but Hereford was on the losing end of the 126-90, ballgame. Tyi Duque had 32 points for the Whitefaces and Ethan Gonzales added 19. Hereford moves to 2-3 in district play……Nominations are being accepted through Friday for the Hereford Lions Club Citizen of the Year. Nomination letters are due to the Hereford Brand Office at 205 E. Park Ave……Funeral services for Avis Grisham, age 91, are Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Nazarene Family Church. Viewing is today from 4:00-8:00 at Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home. Avis was a longtime missionary in South America and an off-and-on Hereford resident. She died on Monday in Hereford……Deaf Smith County Commissioners meet tomorrow morning at 9:00 for a 7-item agenda.
